Andy Washburn was raised in Fredericksburg, Virginia, and graduated from Virginia Tech in 1997 with a degree in History. Before becoming a Realtor®, he worked in public history, constitutional education, and land conservation. During his 20-year non-profit career, he gained extensive experience in marketing, contract negotiation, sales, and problem-solving.
“Throughout my career, I have always been focused on helping others. Whether I was running a summer institute for teachers of the Constitution, managing rental events for high-profile clients, or leading tours of the Alexander Black House in Blacksburg, I have always put the needs of my clients first. I am excited to utilize the skills I’ve developed to help people find their dream home and to get the greatest return when it’s time to sell. I’ll be there for my clients - every step of the way. And if they are new to the area, they may learn a little local history along the way!”
When he’s not busy helping his clients in the New River Valley, he enjoys hiking the Appalachian Trail with his kids, listening to live music at a local brewery, and working in his other profession: Soccer Dad.
